I am looking for any information on David C. Combs(or Combes) born July 4, 1843. A relative thinks the birth place was a Pete Rock, Alabama? But I cannot find such a place on any maps. Information from the 1880 Tenn. census shows he was born in District 8. Any infrmation about Combs or Pete Rock, Alabama would be appreciated.
