My 3rd Great-GM was Catherine Wherry, b. 1798 in AL, m. 1816 in Limestone County AL to John Versa Shinault, and d. 1872 in Byhalia, Marshall County MS. She and John were living in Shelby County TN in 1830, but moved soon thereafter to a plantation near Byhalia; John d. in 1836, leaving her with 5 children. BTW, her sons (in order) were William, James, John Jr, and Napoleon; daughters were Letitia, Sarah, Mary Ann, and Eliza.

I have no idea who Catherine's parents and/or siblings were, and am hoping someone can find a connection that makes sense with the children's names.
