I'm looking for information on John Hodges and his wife Maria C or she may be listed as Mariah C. (she was born in North Carolina around 1802), they had a daughter named Ann Maria Hodges b. 1837. I don't know John Hodges' parents names, or his birth year but believe he may have been born around 1800 and died before 1850. I found deeds from 1835 for John and Maria C. Hodges in Greene County, Alabama, one of the deeds mentioned they were residents of Sumter County, Alabama and the other says they were residents of Washington County, Alabama. By the 1850 and 1860 census Maria C. Hodges is living in Columbus, Lowndes County, MS with Henry S. Bonner whom I believe could be a close relative of either Maria C. or her husband John Hodges.

Looking for any info on Henry S. Bonner and Hodges families in this county, any help would be appreciated!
