John's wife was Henrietta Bradley Moore. John and Henrietta ran off to Alabama from the panhandle of Florida (Gonzales) and married in 1887 in Baldwin Co., AL. Per one researcher, that was fairly common during that timeframe since requirements in Florida were more stringent than in Alabama. They had two sone, John (yes, another John) born in 1888 and James in 1890. They were around the Fairford, Washington Co., AL area. Heard it was a mill town. Thought that the Poll tax, etc. might show info on John. Women usually don't have much on them. And, yes, Family Search is a great source.
