Frances Ophelia Jones Hogan was William's first wife, and the mother of about 12 to 13 of his children. Why, and, When, did Wm. Loper leave Frances? Who is the Mattie, wife, Loper he is with on the 1900 census for Tangipahoa, LA? Who is the Callie, wife, Loper he is with on the 1910 census for Tangipahoa, LA? I know that he had, at least, two children, by Mattie, on the 1900 cenus....and, that Callie is shown with those same children, on 1910 census. Did he have other children? Does anyone know the reason he left his wife, Frances and all their children?
The birth of the later, children, by his wife, and the birth of the children by Mattie, are questionable?
