"Mark Sullivan, who murdered Mr. Jordan in Washington County, Alabama, a few years ago, for which he was sentenced to the penitentiary, returned home a short time since, and was shot one day last week by a son of Jordan, a lad twelve or fifteen years of age. Sullivan died the next day; before he was buried, one of his sons was thrown from his horse and instantly killed. We understand that Sullivan attempted to shoot young Jordan first, but his gun missed fire, and before he could make the second attempt, Jordan shot him."
