Does anyone know about the old Jagger community and families that lived there around the 1920s and 1940s. There was suppose to be an area or farm there called Johnson town. Any information would be appreciated.

What particular family are you wanting to know about? My husband grew up on a farm near that community. He may have known some of the people that you are looking for. I know he knows some Keetons and McGough and Johnsons. In fact he is related to the Keetons.

My husband remembers the Johnson name, but, nothing personally about them. His oldest brother, that stills lives in the Nauvoo area remembers the Johnsons that lived in the the Jagger Community, but none personally. My husband's parents, grandparents and other relative are also buried at Flat Woods Cemetery.
There is a Cemetery Decoration And All day singing at the Church and Cemetery, the 2nd Sunday of May every year. There are a lot of Keetons and McGough still living in that area.
The cemetery is located between Carbon Hill and Nauvoo just off of Hwy 11.
If you want to email me it will be fine. My email is suejohnny2002@yahoo.com

I live near Dallas, Tx. and haven't been able to get to Walker co. in many yrs. If you should ever have any info on any of the old schools from the late 20s to late 40s I would apprectiate any help. Again thank you for being so gracious to help.
