Surnames: WHITE, MOORE
I descend from Julius Caesar WHITE, b. April 10, 1802 in South Carolina d. January 18, 1885 in Cooke Co., TX married Mary S. MOORE, b. November 21, 1806 in Tennessee, d. April 10, 1896 in Collin Co., TX. The couple was married December 22, 1824 in Tuscaloosa Co. by J.P. George Cobb.

According to Ms. Nancy Hughes of Buhl, Alabama, Julius came to Tuscaloosa Co. in the early 1820's with his father John WHITE and three brothers Hiram, Media, and Matthew. They initially settled in the area around Vance and Coaling east of Tuscaloosa. In the late 20's the brothers moved to the area west of Tuscaloosa around Echola. I have a good record of Julius and Hiram, but nothing on the balance of the family. The marriage records and census indicate many WHITES in Tuscaloosa Co. in the 1820's and 1830's. Most except Hiram moved further west in the 1830's and 1840's.

I would like to work with anyone researching these families.
