William Betty Cross who married Eliza J. Benson was the eldest son of Zachariah and Louisa T. Betty. He married his stepsister, as his father had married Malinda (Hester) Benson and became the guardian of Moses Benson's children in Shelby County, Alabama.Will gladly share any information that I have.

Hello, I think I found this William Cross in the census records in Shelby County but I am not sure if his wife's name was Eliza. The William I am seeking had sons named George, John, DeWitt and Shelby? If so, I am trying to find information on DeWitt Cross. Thank you.
