I am searching for Patterson family information. They lived in Randolph County, Rock Mills area. Parents were
G. Abner Patterson and Permelia Patterson. Children were Eveline Patterson married John Carr; Lucinda Caroline Patterson married James Strickland; Amanda Patterson born about 1839; Henry C. Patterson b. abt. 1845; Rebecca Patterson; Jane Adeline Patterson; Berry Abner Patterson; and George Patterson. George was my great-grandfather and I have information on him. He and brother, Henry C. both entered Civil War at the same time at West Point. George mustered out in Appomattox, VA and stayed there and it is thought that Henry went back to Alabama. Father, G.Abner was killed in 1849 and Permelia came to VA and lived out her life here. Lucinda and James L. Strickland are in the 1850 census, ages 19 and 17 with no
children. Nothing else is known further about any of the children.
