Rebecca did get a pension and I have a copy of her application. I find her still living in Pike Co, Ala on the 1900 census but cannot find her after that date. I am trying to find where she is buried. She was 72 in 1900.
Any info would be appreciated.

Glad to hear from you! My husband's mother just passed from this life and I will be tied up for rest of the week but will answer your note ASAP. I believe I can help locate the burial place of Jesse and Rebecca Cotton. My mother is 86 and the granddaughter of Jesse Day Cotton. She gave me three places to look. I will do this as soon as I make a return trip to Alabama and will send photos if possible. I go over to visit her once a month (a 4 hour trip from here). Thanks for writing. I am hoping that you have the same email address. I contacted you back in 2006 but since then my husband had a heart transplant and I haven't had time to work on the Cotton geneology. You said that your Mother gave you 3 places to look for the burial place of Jesse and Rebecca Cotton. Could you let me know what if anything that you found. Who was jesse J.'s father? My husband's ancester was Jared. Jared bought land in Al when Young, Shadrack and Jesse V. did, but he settled in Hickman County Tn near his wife's family. Any information on your line would be appreciated. Do you all have anything any further back than their father Jesse? We think He was Joshua but I have no proof. I hope to hear from you soon.
