My family has roots in
Sprott. I have been searching my
Fathers family- Moore/Sanders since Feb/2008. Sprott is a hard to find any records.
I also have been searching my Mother's family from
Bibb county. Surnames Anderson/Lightsey.
My parents moved to
Indiana from
Alabama in 1946. I know there were Andersons in Detroit,
Flint,
Michigan Chicago, and Indiana.I remember some of the names of people that moved from the same area as my parents. Some of the names were
Rutledge,
Bray(have a obit of Joseph Nathan bray jr.),
I also remember seeing the
Goree, Heard, and Abercombie(sp?) as neighbors in the census when researching the
Moores. So they had to be related or neighbors.
My grandfather Jim
Moore lived to be 102 yrs. old ,died in sprott. But I can't find a lot of info for him.
I am like you searching for roots in Sprott/Severe,
perry county. I have so many questions,hope you can make sense out of my post.
