Surnames: Griffin, Johnson, Tetter and Frazier
I am searching for Lee or Levonia Griffin, Sallie Johnson Griffin,
Minnie Hagans/Tetter; Ethel Tedder/Tetter Frazier; and, Lula,
Robert and David. These three children were listed as Griffin on 1930 census but they probably had a Frazier father. 1900 through 1930. Hope someone has some info on these people. Levonia left Georgia when he was young and was in Alabama when he sent a postcard to his mother. That is all that was ever heard from him. I found him on the WW1 Draft Registration for Montgomery County. His wife was named
Sallie. From that info, I searched the Census Records and found a Sallie Johnson, Lee Griffin and Sallie Griffin, Etc.
Any help is appreciated. Griffin is my line. Joyce

Does the name Georgia Ann Griffin come up in your research? She lived in Pine Level and married my ancestor.

Tracey -- Thank you for writing to me. I do not know of a Georgia Griffin. The great uncle that I was looking for was born and grew up in Georgia. I believe I have found him and possibly his descendants or at least close family in Montgomery County, AL. I am sorry that I could not help you.

Hello Tracey,
Without more information, I cannot say that
your Georgia Ann Griffin was related. When
did she live? Who was her father?

Joyce

The person we knew as Lee Griffin was my grandfather he died in 1947. He had 6 children, one of which is my mother, Joy Evelyn Tetter, she was born in 1940. on the 1930 census he and my grandmother Ethel Tetter only had three children. My name is Jennifer Jordan and I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. We have always wondered where he came from and if he had another family there, or if he was trying to get out of fighting in war, or maybe if he was running from the law. My grandmother always said he was very aggressive, and just plain out mean most of the time. Please contact me as soon as possible.
