I am searching for Harriet Annette Brown who married William L. Robinson. Listed in the 1880 Monroe Coounty census, local community "Germany" as being age 39. Lived somewhere near Buena Vista, I think. Any help appreciated> Ida

Hi. I'm new at this but have some info on my g-father Julien W. Brown 8/24/1879-4/6/1942 of Excel, Monroe Co. He had seven kids. One of whom, My aunt Sweetzer Metsay Brown, 3/22/1900-1969, married a James Nettles from Salem on 12/11/1920. I'm looking for info on Julian W. and my G-mother, Nellie S.GREEN, (b.12/5/1881 and died in Excel 4/1/1961) before they moved to Monroe Co. in 1899 from Lake City, FA. Let me know if I can help. My fathers name was james steadham he died in 1963 please if you know anything let my know , he is my father and i know nothing about his family

I found your father on the Social Security Index. If you request a copy of his application it will tell you who his parents were, mothers maiden name and where he was born. Hi Ida! We are cousins and used to correspond back before email became fashionable! My g-g-grandfather, Jack Alexander and your (Aunt?) Edna were brother and sister. Been a long time. We are still looking for info on Harriett Brown Robinson and also info on where Wm. L. "Dock" Robinson was buried and who his parents were. Have you had any luck there? One interesting note, out of the blue, Uncle Jim (Jack & Edna's baby brother) great-grandson emailed us with a lot of info we never knew about uncle jims decendants. Love to hear back from ya! Holly
