Surnames: MILON, MILLON, MELLON, GIRARDY, SIMON, MCVOY, MCAVOY, MCEVOY, MCBOY, MCAVOY
MOBILE CO AL: **MILON** SURNAME:

Seeking ANY info on the MILON family (aka MILLEN/MELLEN/
MALLAN/MILAN/MELLIEN/MILIEN,etc.) who were French and in
New Orleans and Mobile before 1700. My 4th great grandmother
was ISABEL MILON (not Melos as previously written on a
census record.) She was born ca. 1752 possibly in MOBILE.
Family also in NEW ORLEANS. Married JOHN MCAVOY before
1770 possibly in Mobile, (*not Savannah as previously
thought.) Connected to SIMON and GIRARD(Y) families somehow
from marriages on LDS records. Three men surnamed SIMON served with my ancestors in MCBOY'S 14th Regiment of MS
MILITIA (Diego McBoy/McVoy and William (Guillermo)McBoy/
McVoy.) I am interested in any possible links or info.
Isabel was said to be some type of princess or royalty???
