Looking to find any family members of John D. Tennis b. 1810 somewhere in Germany/Bavaria. Married in Mobile Co., 11 Aug. 1842 to Catherine Harms? (not sure of spelling).

They appear on the 1850 US Federal Census for Mobile, Co., Al. with children: Elizabeth b. 1843, John b. 1849, Amelia Rosalie b. 1852, Juliana b. 1854 and Henry C. b. 1856.

John Tennis dies before 1859, when Catherine marries again to Andrew Johnson, 8 March 1859 in Mobile.

My ancestor Amelia Rosalie b. 1852 married in 1870 to John Henry Turner,(1850-1925) son of Fielding Turner, (1820-1870).

Don't have any clues on the Germany side of these folks. Anything would be most appreciated. Share my Turner information back to Va in 1710.
