Do any of your Pattersons have connections to the Downing or Hinkle families? I am looking for a Peter Patterson, married to Zibel/Zuly Hinkle around 1825; also, William Downing married to Effa Hinkle or Patterson around 1828; and, Catherine/Katy Downing married ?? Patterson before 1830. We know that Andrew Downing, father of William and Catherine, was living in Hazel Green, Madison Co, AL sometime between 1820 and 1830. Andrew's daughter, Ann, married Baltis Hinkle in Madison Co, AL 3 Jan 1820. By 1830, Andrew and his family had moved to Wayne Co, TN. I would appreciate any input you might have about these families.
