In the 1850 census of Lowndes County, Al, I found that my gggrandmother, Elizabeth Leonard had remarried (?) Harrison, and had a son, James Harrison. Also found in the 1850 slave census that she owned 5 slaves and was located in the Rocky Mount District. Where is this location? Her children, Lafayette Leonard, age 19, and Nancy Leonard, age 25, were still at home. My gg grandfather, William Walton Leonard had probably already left for Texas.
