I am researching the descendants of Samuel & Lucretia Kyle of Morgan Co, AL. One of their son, William Taylor Kyle married Josephine "Josie" Defoe and they lived in Limestone Co, AL. Their children were: Thomas Jefferson "Tom", Luther Ellis, John Harrison, Irvin Alfred, Oscar, Amos & Alma who married Henry Haggermaker. Some of these people were still living in Limestone Co in 1979. I am interested in sharing Kyle and Defoe family information.

I have a Josie A. Defoe b. 1875 in Morgan County, AL, daughter of John Defoe and Mary Jane Pew. She was the sister of my g-grandfather, Andrew Jackson Defoe.

Many of this family were in Limestone County and also Wayne & Giles Counties, TN. I have info on this family. Would love to share info. E-mail’s welcome.

My g-greatfather's sister was Josie Defoe, the daughter of John Defoe & Mary Jane Pew. Josie moved to Dyer & Gibson Counties in the 1890's. I believe she married a J.W. Flannigan and had a daughter named Pearl. I have a picture of this Defoe family and suspect that one of the unknow women in my photo is Josie. Is this the same Josie Defoe that is your ancestor ?? I would love to trade info.
