I am trying to find more information on Charlie E. Delmore. He was the father of the Delmore Brothers, Alton and Rabun.
The family story goes that he came South under duress and changed his name to Delmore. It is believed that his last name was Quinlan or Quinley.
Does anyone have any information on him?

CHARLIE'S NAME WAS QUILLIAN. HE HAS RELATIVES IN BESSEMER, ALABAMA. THEY ARE BOBBY EUGENE AND HIS WIFE CHARLOTTE. THEY HAVE A LOT OF INFO ON THE FAMILY. CHARLIE'S WIFE ALSO USED A DIFFERENT NAME. CONTACT THEM.

Charlie's last name was Quillian. He adopted his grandmothers maiden name as he was in trouble. His wife Molly (Mary) also changed her name. Charlie's grandson was living in Bessemer Alabama with his wife Charlotte. She did a lot of research on the family.Charlie's grandson is Bobby Eugene. I hope you contact her as they are very nice. I visited with them many years ago as they were just beginning to look into the family tree.-----john delmore
