There is an Andrew J. Adams on the 1850 Fed Census in Chambers Co, AL. He is show with a wife Wineford, and daughter Sara. Andrew J. Adams is also listed in the will of John Adams, Chambers Co, AL (1848). The other children listed in the will are: James M., Elizabeth Jones, Absalom Adams, Mary Ann Tucker, Jane Adams, Jasper W. Adams, Newton J. Adams, Joseph Adams, and Caroline.
I descend from Andrew J. and his daughter, Sara. I am now on my way to check out your web site. I would appreciate hearing from you if the happen to have any further information on Andrew J. Adams.
Thank you!

James,
I enjoyed your site. I'm a history buff and especially enjoyed the civil war. I used to live in the Wash, DC, area and visited all of the battlefields. At the time, I didn't realize that I had so many ancestors who fought on those battlefields.
I believe the Andrew J. Adams is probably the same person we are both researching, however, I have no additional information other that what I gave you. Have you tried Chambers County also? I believe there were alot of Adams that lived there also.

Please contact me - I am a descendant of Jane Adams Adams, sister of Andrew J. Adams, children of John Adams, son of Absalom Adams. My g grandfather was William S. Adams; he and Jane were children of first cousin. Have lots of Adams information but little on Andrew's family. Pat
