Mattie is the older sister of my grandfather. They are natives of Jackson County, Alabama (near Trenton). Their parents were Ed Wilbourn & Ella Lusk. Mattie died young in the 1930's or 1940's. I have the 1930 census that shows her, her husband, Tom, & their daughter, Beatrice, in Jefferson County, Alabama. My grandfather remembers traveling to her funeral as a boy & he has always said/believed that she is buried near Missionary Ridge in Chattanooga, TN. We have repeatedly tried to find her grave to no avail. Her daughter, Beatrice, was last seen by my grandfather near the beginning of WWII when she visited with her husband who was active military & stationed in Virginia at the time. Unfortunately, he doesn't recall Beatrice's married name. He believes she had a baby when she visited or possibly that she was pregnant. Tom Bingham was born & raised on Bingham Mountain in Jackson County, Alabama. If anyone has any additional information about these people I would appreciate it.
