By any chance are you referring to Doss Kennedy, son of Thomas Williams Kennedy and Rebecca Tarbutton Kennedy? They had six children, my grandfather (Daniel E. Kennedy), Dr. Thomas J. Kennedy and (I believe) Doss Kennedy among them. My mother is a daughter of Daniel Edgar Kennedy.
