Correction, L.V. Wymes was the first African American to attend Houston County High School, Not Mary Wymes I'm her sister, and yes this was before 1970, and she was the only minority in the entire school, daughter of Moses(Biddie) and Cloudia Wymes, from the Wymes Quarters
