Wiley J. Jones - Deed #23052 Section 21 5-N 29-E Henry Co., AL but deed says that Wiley J. Jones is from Clay Co., GA (formerly Randolph Co., GA). Supposedly, Wiley's wife's maiden name was Mary J. Carter.

Jacob A. Carter - Deed #23075 Section 15 5-N 29-E Henry Co., AL.

In the 1860 U.S. Census for Henry Co., AL Columbia Beat #3:

470/469 G. W. Carter age (unable to read)/Amanda Carter age (unable to read)/Wm. male 2 months.

471/470 Wily J. Jones age 29/Mary J. Jones age 28/J.H.P. Jones male age 4/Wm O. or C. Jones male age 1/Audien J. Jones male age 1 day.

I am trying to make a Jones-Carter connection. Can anyone out there give me any help? Thanks!
