Looking for any children or descendents of Marriage of John Caleb Kirkland & Nancy Jane Rogers. They married in Henry Co. AL in 1868. I know their first child was William Curtis Kirkland born in 1869. I also know that in the 1900 census they were listed in the Newville area having 2 children, Zemaman Zary Kirkland born 9-12-1885 and Lula Kirkland born 1888 living with them. I know John Caleb Kirkland was the next to the youngest sons of Benjamin H. "Hoppin Ben" Kirkland and Sarah Kirkland & born in 1850. Nancy Jane Rogers born in 1848. Are there any other children to this marriage. My great grandfather is Zemaman Zary Kirkland. One of his daughters, Minnie Ola Kirkland, is my grandmother. Any information appreciated.

Hi, I know were not related because my 4th great grandfather was adopted by a french whos last name was Echeveste. But I was just wondering if you were a descendent of those Echevestes, because I would really like to know who adopted our entire family.I mean I have looked all over the place but I cannot find anyone who can inform me of anything. HI there..... I read your message, and thought, maybe I could help. How are you related to Nancy Jane Rogers? She is my great great grandmother, husband is John Kirkland. They had 5 children, Iola (F), Haley, Curtis, Zinnamen(?) and The Reverend Barto Jackson Kirkland, my great grandfather. I saw the Nancy Jane Rogers and the Zemamem. So, I would love to know more info of my great grandfathers siblings, which I dont know a thing, except thier names.... I hope you can help. Perhaps I can help you. I got your email abt Lennie Kirkland Whitehead & really appreciate it. Who was Lennie the daughter of, do you know? There were lots of Whiteheads in my home town of Cottonwood, AL & I'm pretty sure they are related somehow to my Kirklands.

According to the Kirkland Family Roots book (not my research and I have found some mistakes - things I found through actual documents)Lennie is the daughter of Jasper Kirkland (Apr 1868 - 5 Nov 1950)and Sarah J Baker.

They had 2 children - Lennie (b 1890) and Laila (b 1898).

I would LOVE info on your line. I was actually doing some looking on him yesterday! :-)
