UNDERWOOD, JR., Mr. Jessie W. age 70, of Dayton, Ohio departed this life Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the VA Medical Center.

A native of Eutaw, Alabama (Greene County) and a Dayton, Ohio resident the majority of his life.
A graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1958, Colorado Springs Air Force Academy and received an Engineering degree from the University of Alabama.
A retired Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force. He was a member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Sr. & Christine Underwood; stepmother, Fannie; brother, William "Mooky". Survivors include brothers, Herbert L. Sr. (whom he resided) & Luther Underwood, James (Joyce) Cameron, all of Dayton, Ray Farley, of Chicago, IL; beloved sister, Davora Jenkins; special niece, Monica; special aunt, Rosa Hughes, of Birmingham, AL; a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 North Gettysburg Avenue.
Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation 9 am Tuesday at the funeral home until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
