Dear Sir,
My great-grandfather was Judge Henry Harrison Foster of Geneva, Ala. (Register in Chancery) He was a CSA veteran and, according to his obituary in Geneva newspaper, founded Camp W. C. Oates. He was born Oct. 1842 in Georgia, grew up in Tuskegee, Ala. and lived in Geneva most of his life, until his death 8 Dec 1907. I know he must have been active in a veterans' group because I have a pamphlet for a CSA convention in Texas. I do have a picture, but not easily accessed right now. He was living in Tuskegee at beginning of war and joined up with a group from Montgomery and surrounding area, according to obit., so perhaps this veterans' group was in that area. I have not researched that aspect. Don't know if any of this is any help to you, but I will be glad to share any info I have.
