Classification: Query
Surnames: OWENS BUTLER GOLDEN
Need information on Jefferson Owens and wife Amy E. Owens. Children: Daniel; Sarah; Rebecca; Nancy A; Isabella; Charles;______(unknown); and Elizabeth.Isabella m. William M. Butler. Elizabeth m. David Butler. Charles m. Frances Butler. William and David Butler were brothers. I do not know if Frances was a sister to them.
William and David were the sons of John S. Butler and Epsey Golden Butler. John and Epsey had 14 children (4 sons and 10 daughters) Eliza; William M.; Ann; David S.; Margaret; Mary Francis; Georgiana A.; Catherine; Harriett; James M.; and Virginia. I forgot Elizabeth ; Thomas S. and Jane.
John S. Butler was listed on the 1850 and 1860 Census in Cherokee County. In 1870 he was on the Etowah county census.
Jefferson Owens was listed on the 1850 census in ST. Clair county. On the 1860 and 1870 census he was in Cherokee County. By 1880 he and his unmarried daughter Sarah, was listed with his son, Charles in Etowah county.
Is there any decendents of these families out there or do you know of any connections with these families. Thank you in advance for any help you can give. Nina
