Looking for info on my gg-gf George W. Frazier (1837-1911), married to Louvenie Smith. Their children were: James Henry(~1858), Wiley R. (1860-1934) my g-gf, Nancy E. "Nannie" (~1864), William W. (~1868), Leonidas or Wesley L.? (1870), Mary Ella (?), Bell (?) and Tilden "Tee" (?). According to the 1870 census they were living in Gadsden, but later moved to Steele Depot. They lived near the old Deerman's Chapel Church and later next to the Methodist Church in Steele where G.W. built the balustrade which outlined the pulpit. The church opened in 1880. From what I have read, James H. married Mary Hale whose father carried mail on the star route between Whitney and Ashville. They lived in Ashville and were the parents of Ennis who married Ira Davis who was sheriff of St. Clair County for two terms and also represented the county in the state legislature. Nannie married Will Moore. My g-gf Wiley R. Frazier married Sarah "Emma" Sansom, niece of Emma Sansom of Civil War fame. Wiley and Sarah later emigrated to Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma.
If any cousins are out there who would like to correspond, or anyone else who might have any more information, I would love to hear from you!
