My g-grandparents, Thomas and Laura Ann Edwards Hamby, lived in Alabama City, AL (Etowah County). Thomas was, we think, born in Georgia. Thomas and Laura are buried in Etowah County, in Gallant, AL, at Gallant Baptist Church. Their graves are almost against the back of the church building. One of their daughters, Drewnetta, is buried next to them. I know they had 12 children. Six boys and six girls. Three boys and three girls were blonde haired and blue eyed, and three of the boys and three of the girls were dark haired and dark eyed. My granddaddy, Richard Hamby, is listed on his mother's (Laura) death certificate as the one who notified the authorities she had passed away. I do not know much more about them.
