Greetings: I am a native of Etowah County, AL. After retiring from the Army, I am living in Tuscaloosa, AL. I am researching my family tree and have over 14,000 entries in my wife's (from Shelby CO, AL) and my genealogy data base. My father's family (Usry, Bryant, Reid, Langley, Dillard) came into Calhoun Co in the 1840's & 50's and on into Etowah CO from the Spartanburg, SC area. My mother's family (Bailey, Latimer, Evans) came from Wilkes CO, GA (Washington, Metasville) into Etowah CO (Gadsden).

I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the "Swap Meet" in Gadsden on Saturday but I would be very happy to correspond with anyone and share information about my family or growing up in Etowah County.
