Since you are coming from Decatur, I'm not really sure of the directions from Boaz (you should come that way to get here). So I will give you directions from Attalla.
From Attalla, AL take Hwy 431 north toward Boaz. After you get on the mountain, you will see Carlisle school on the left. From Carlisle school, continue 2.2 miles to Mountainboro Road. (on the map, it looks like the 4th road on the right from the school). Turn right and go 3/4 miles to Cox Gap Road. If you go into Marshall county, you have gone too far.

Another reference is Township 10 South, Range 5 East, Section 21.

Thanks, Mr. Awbrey, this is the 2nd time you've helped me. I've just found Thrasher Cem. on topozone and with your directions, I think I can find it. Maybe you could also help me with another cemetery that I can't seem to find....Old Rowe Cemetery in Marshall Co. near Albertville??? I've found out I have "Greats" there also. Please let me know if I can ever help you in any way.....JoAnne Thomas

The only information I have been able to find is the Old Roe cemetery. There are only 4 marked graves and several unmarked graves. It isnt plotted on any of my maps but the description is as follows:

on left when going north between hwy 68 and county road 548 near McVille.
I looked on a map and did not find county road 548. to get to hwy 68 you take hwy 75 out of Albertville toward Rainsville. Turn right onto hwy 68. It shows McVille off of Hwy 68 and near the Dekalb county line.
Hope this is of some help.

Thank you so very much! This Old Roe Cem may very well be the Old Rowe I'm looking for in Marshall Co. I've posted a query on the Marshall Co. Message Board. Maybe I'll get more information on it. I was born in Etowah Co. but moved away as a young adult. It is a lot of fun getting acquainted again with your home county and North Alabama. You are a great help.... God Bless you!!! Hi JoAnne .... Hannah Powell here .... did you ever go to the Thrasher Cemetery? I'm still hoping for some kind of info on William "Billy"'s and Lewis Powell's death dates. I understand that there is a memorial marker there put up by g/grandchildren for William Powell but I remember it had some strange dates on it .......
I haven't been able to talk to anyone who has actually been there ......
