Is she still alive? If not, you could likely get a copy of her death certificate from the state. That would give parents.

Do you have a copy of their marriage license? I checked (called) parishes in & around where Bruce's dad lived and found where he married his first wife and then ordered a certified copy of the license from the clerk's office. It gave me her parents' names.
