In the 1908 obituary for Elizabeth "Betsy" EMMONS Baggett, it states that her husband "Nicholas Baggett" was a "soldier in the Indian Wars, participating during the early settlement of this gulf coast county". I think that this Nicholas BAGGETT was born in 1799 at Georgia and died in the 1870's (no exact date yet) at Alabama. Does anyone know the name of his military "unit"? Many thanks!
