I'm seeking any descendants of the family of Wade, b. abt. 1815 in N.C. and Sabra "Sibby" Smith, b. abt. 1812 in N.C. They moved their family from Jackson Co. Tn. after 1850 into DeKalb CoAll. before 1860. Then they were living in the Head Springs area. They later lived in and around Henegar, Al. in the Mtn.Home community. A lot of this family are buried at the Mtn. Home Cemetery. They had the following children: Alexander "Sandy" b. 1835, m. Amanda Emalene Bray in 1875; Lucy Ann Smith, b. abt. 1837, m. James Anthony Lusk; Nealy Emaline, b. Jan. 1840 m. William C. Bray; Maria A. b. abt. 1842, m. Thomas Crabtree; Matthew, b. abt 1845; Dempsey "Drury", b. Mar. 1848 m. Ellen Dean, & Joseph (probably Whitson), b. Apr. 1949, m. Jane ? I have been searching for this family for nearly two years and would be willing to share what information that I have. Please help me if you can!

My husband's father and grandfather were Samuel Martin Smith and Samuel Martin Smith Jr, from Henegar. His grandfather is buried in the Henegar Cemetary. His grandmother was Bertha Edwards Smith. Any connection?

I am decended from Cynthia LUSK Durham through her daughter Martha. Martha Durham never married, but she had 6 children.

I think it is possible that Cynthia LUSK Durham is a daughter to the Josiah LUSK that was born 1778.
