I would appreciate any information you might have on David Langford, born about 1830 and according to the 1860 census living in Dale County (Newton Post Office). His wife was Susan R. and one of his children, William is my great grandfather.

In particular I would like to know the name of David's father. There is a David Langford on the 1850 census living in Marion County, Georgia at that time with the same birth year, and I do know that William's father was born in Georgia. David's father on the 1850 census is listed as a James W. Langford, born about 1810. So I am curious is this is the person I am looking for. Of course, David's father may well have stayed in Georgia.
