WARREN, OHIO - Lillie M. Brooks, 76, of 291 Third St. S.W.,warren, Ohio died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 28, 1934 in Luverne, Alabama, a daughter of John R. Sr. and Bernice Parks Jackson.

Lillie was a retired secretary for the Warren, Ohio City Schools and was a member of Grace A.M.E. Church.

Survivors include a son, Henry C. of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Denise M. Pope of Westerville, Ohio and Chandra L. Brooks of Warren, Ohio; two brothers, Willie Joe Jackson of Warren, Ohio and John R. Jackson Jr. of Luverne, Alabama.; three sisters, Minnie Walker and Retha Thompson of Warren and Mary Muriel Bogan of Luverne, Ala.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred ''Zip'' Brooks, and three brothers.

A Service of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace A.M.E. Church, where friends may call 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church. An Eastern Service will be held at 7 p.m.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
