From Funeral record of William Thomas Ross Sr., 23 July ’74, Fisher-Pou, Pensacola, Florida

William Thomas Ross Sr., 92 of 6527 Joy St. died Sunday morning in a local rest home.

A native of Alabama, he had resided in Pensacola for the past 18 years. He was a member of the Mcliwain Memorial Presbyterian Church. After his retirement from the Du Pont Company he worked as a building consultant with the School Board in Union County, New Jersey. He was a Elder Emeritus with the Third Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ola Davis Ross; a son William T. Ross Jr., a sister, Miss Daisy Ross all of Pensacola; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Pall bearers are John Rose, Phillip Rose, James Thrasher, Robert E. Horton, Sanford Hendricks and Thomas Patete (spelling?).

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, in Fisher Pou Chapel with the Reverend Donald A. Dunkerley officiating.

Burial will be in the Bayview Memorial Park with the Fisher Pou Funeral Service directing.

(This record is from microfilm in the Special Collections of the John C. Pace Library, University of West Florida- on that record but barely legible on the xerox copy I obtained , the person ordering the funeral arrangements was Mrs. T.L. Patete. This name seems to match one of the pall bearers, address 576 E. Perker Dr.32505-also hard to read.)
