I am looking for any info on Mary E Smith, b. 1849 who married George W Brown(b. 1854 in TN). I have her as born in Clay Co. I know they also lived in Tallapoosa Co. Their children were John Clifford, Robert Manard, Greenie, Mary Ann and Benjamin Curtis(my g-grandfather). Rumors were that she was part Creek and George W was 1/2 Cherokee. Any info on either family would be appreciated!
