My great grandmother was Sarah Camp Walker who married Finch Hicks. This marriage most likely took place in Clarke County, Alabama.

My grandmother, Eleanor Hannon Hicks was born in Clarke County on August 11, 1903.

Finch Hicks was Sarah Camp Walker's second husband, and family legend has it that he was the brother of her first husband. They most likely married in late 1902 or early 1903. Family legend has it that he married Sarah so that the child she was carrying would be "legitimate".

Sarah Camp Walker and her first husband had three children Henry, Emma, and I believe Lucille prior to the birth of Eleanor Hannon.
