I got some things confused myself. It has been a while since I have worked on that branch and I should have looked in my records before I talked to you.

Winlock Pearson was married to an Elizabeth LNU. They appear to have had 3 or 4 daughters, Amanda, Mary, Sarah Ann and Caroline. Obviously, Elizabeth died and in the early 1860's. Winlock then married Lucretia in Clarke County, MS but lived in Choctaw County,Al. They had several acres right on the AL/MS line.

As for Sarah Ann and Emily, from what I could get from family, Emily was born from a relationship with a possible cousin and they tried to keep it quiet so John Carney was not Emily's biological father. I can't help you with a name. Have you gotten her death certificate yet? As far as I know, Lula was the only daughter born to their marriage. Not that this is important but it seems Lula was a pistol ball. The story goes that when my gr grandfather married Lula, her mother, Sarah Ann, told him " You wanted her, you got her, see if you can handle her." They got married when she was 13 yrs old and they had a son, Arthur C Sims in 1905. Unfortunately they were divorced in 1906 and she went on to marry a man named Landrum and had several children. For whatever reason, neither my gr grandfather nor Lula raised Arthur. John and Sarah Ann raised him.

Have you gotten any pension records for Winlock Pearson yet? I think he filed one in the 1890's before he died in I think 1898 but Lucretia filed several before her death in the 1920's.

Let me know exactly what you need or want in the way of information and I'll start digging out what I have.
