Lillie B. Fambro 82 of Springfield, Ohio passed on Sunday January 10, 2010 at 10:10 P.M. in Essex of Springfield, Ohio.
She was born June 16, 1926 in Clanton,(Chilton County) Alabama the daughter of Charlie and Annie Lee (Townsend) Averette. To this union she was the sixth of twelve children.
She was first lady and mother of the church of the New Convenant Temple COGIC where her husband Pastor Henry Fambro Jr. is pastor.
Mrs. Fambro is survived by her faithful husband of 61 years. One daughter, Patricia A. (Pierre) Wright. One son, Paul Daryl Fambro. Six grandchildren, Virgil "Monty" McWhorter, Henry "Marty" McWhorter. Shamicka King, Malcolm Fields, Paul D. Fambro and Mason Fields. Six great-grandchildren, Alazae, Tyla, KiJwan, Kevin, Amari and Keveon. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her loving church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Patrick Henry, her grandson, Magnum Fields. Five brothers, Elvin, Hilton, Benjamin, James "JD" and Colie Averette. Six sisters, Margaret Averette, Hattie Foster, Ida Averette, Martha Lee White, Ann Newman and Mary Hill.
Friends may call Friday Janaury 15, 2010 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. in the New Convenant Temple COGIC 1757 Clay Street and after 5:00 P.M. in Restored Life Ministries 1117 Innisfallen Ave., where her family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until time of services at 7:00 P.M. with Superintendent Carl B. Norton of the Mt. Zion COGIC of Dayton, Ohio, officiating.
Interment will be held Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in Ferncliff Cemetery.
The funeral procession will form at 9:30 A.M. Saturday at her residence.
