Gossetts of Cherokee Co.

Surnames: Gossett, Barnes, Simmons, Brooks, Stewart, Stephens, Randolph
I'n not sure if my "Gossetts" were in Cherokee Co., AL. I have them in Cherokee Co., GA at one time. This is from info I got on the net, so I'm not sure how reliable it is.
My ggrandfather, Matthew Fitzgerald Gossett, b 16 Jun 1845 in Tuscaloosa, AL, son of William Pinkney Gosett, B 12 Apr 1832 in Spartanburg, SC, m Sylvira Elizabeth Dobbins.
Other info from the internet indicates that Abner Gossett was William Pinkney Gossett's father.
Does any of this info match with your lines? I would really like to get ino on these Gossetts. I will be happy to share what I have. Joyce
