I saw messages (old ones) from a jon gary dean and carole bays regarding James P Ellenburg. James P is my great grandfather. His daughter Mamie Ellenburg Kirk was my grandmother. I always knew his name to be James Powell Ellenburg, not James Philip. He is buried in Mountain Springs Cemetery in Cherokee county. We always went to "decoration" there on the first Sunday in May, as far back as I can remember to honor his and "Granny's" graves (his wife Lula Ella Steele Ellenburg). If Jon or Carole sees this or anyone else from this family, please respond. I have been working off and on in the family history for over 20 years, I am so happy I saw your entries, just hope you still check the message boards.
