I am trying to find information on James McCullough CSA of Cherokee Co, AL. He may have enlisted in Cherokee Co, or he may have enlisted in Chattooga Co., GA as he lived close to the state line and had family there. Born abt 1840. Supposedly killed in Civil War fighting under Hood. The NPS index doesn't seem to have any listing that fits the bill. Any help greatly appreciated!
