my ggrandmother, Mary J Martin, was born in Cherokee County on December 16, 1849 based on records she completed when she entered the IOOF Retirement Home in Checotah, OK. She married my ggrandfather, John Wesley Curtis in Winston County, MS in November, 1869. The family moved to in the sping of 1882 and moved to Oklahoma in 1906.

I have nothing that tells me who her family was - I thought there might be a birth record or census record that would identify her parents, but the cherokee county web site only shows page numbers after the surname.. Due to my grandmothers death - my father was raised by his maternal grandparents - and we haven't a clue as to who Mary J Martin's family was.

If anyone would be willing to assist me looking up the information or is a member of the martin family or has information regarding them - I would certainly appreciate the help.
