Researching the Hamlin and Rampey lines from
the Chambers Co. area. Jethro Hamlin, b. 1803,
was the son of John and Catherine Hamlin. He
wed Matilda Jackson in Monroe Co.,Ga. in 1825.
By the 1830's, they were in Meriweather Co., Ga.
and moved into Chambers Co., Al., around 1839. Jacob
Rampey, b. about 1800-1 wed his 1st wife Jane
in SC. He wed his 2nd wife, Sarah Gordon, abt.
