Did you look at the Orphans Court records 1838-1852? Probate minutes 1850-1930?, www.ardchives.state.al.us/referenc/pcount6.html#macon
I'd contact the Macon County Genealogical Society
C/O Tuskegee Public Library
302 South Main Street
and ask if they have a local death index, old newspapers for her death notice and inventoried cemeteries.
Also there is a Macon County Archives
210 North Elm Street
Tuskegee 35611 or 334-724-2619 that's not on the Internet so I don't know what they have.
Regarding George, the Alabama Archives has probate court minutes 1850-1926. Death certificates weren't required in Alabama until 1908.
The Chambers County Library, Cobb Memorial Archives, www.chamberscountylibrary.org/archi
ves.htm has County Courthouse Loose Papers 1832-1915 estate & marriage records. They are also on microfilm at www.familysearch.org
I'd contact the Chattahoochee Valley Historical Society, www.cvhistoricalsociety.org
and ask if they have a local death index, indexed obits and inventoried cemeteries.
I'd do the same for Emaline.
1870 Chambers Co., AL
Joel H. Walker, b. AL,26, farmer
Carrie L, b. GA, 19
Mary J., b. AL, 1
I'd say Carrie died in Chambers County before 1879.
