John Nathan Stuart was born in Butler Co. on 6 Aug 1874. He is a son of Lewis Carnes Stuart and Sara Ann Parker. John was married twice.

He married first Mary H. Cook on 3 Nov 1897, in Butler Co. Mary died on 7 Sep 1900. By this marriage, he had two children:

Lewis Comer Stuart, born in August 1899

His second marriage was to Sarah Brooks Hall on 24 Dec 1905, in Butler Co. By this marriage, John had two children:

Clifford Stuart, born in 1907
Voncille Stuart, born in 1910
